The most USED book I own!

While caring for an active population, I find this book invaluable. The organization is excellent and easy to reference. Concise diagnostic modalities and treatment protocols that are up to date and practical. Many illustrations and diagrams to aid in the diagnosis and treatment. Overall an excellent reference guide for any primary care provider.

Emergency Orthopedics

I am a PA in an ED and this book is invaluable, although I did an ortho rotation this book gives the current thoughts/treatment modalities for injuries. I have found that it deliniates what needs surgery now vs. in the near future or what can be splinted and follow up. (That is always the tough thing to figure out without experience.) This is an easy read and great from the beginning up to advanced ortho. It is well organized and goes by sections of the extremities (upper arm vs lower arm, hands then fingers). It has helpful sections on MRI, CT and other basic radiology studies for ortho purposes. Well worth the money!

My Experience-reading

I really enjoyed reading this book as am one of those readers who likes to sit back and read light / feel good books. The author coming out with such a book is no big surprise to me as am one of those few people ,present while she wrote a poem on the Pandora's Box!!!!! The language used in the book makes it even more easier to communicate what the next gen expects out of marriage or how the entire process appeals to them!!!

A playful, rhyming text that introduces readers to the life cycle of the frog-- "Round and spotted, polka-dotted, eggs aboard a bubble boat--Watch them dip and dive and float"--and how every living thing changes as it grows. This would be great for reading aloud in the k-1 classroom- lots of opportunities to play with language as well as learn content--for fun or as part of a unit of study. Would pair nicely with Fabulous Frogs by Martin Jenkins.

A cool growing up tale that occurs in a pond....

This picture book with its double spread pages is all about the process that occurs in a pond and ultimately results in a frog hopping about. First there are the "polka-dotted eggs", then little critters emerge with "splish-splashing tails" before the four-footed frogs begin hopping about.
The rhymed text makes this a growing up story smaller children can easily follow and the author doesn't let the biological science get in the way or cause confusion (the child can figure that part out later). So have fun with the catchy narrative and humorous, cartoon like illustrations as you watch the tadpole to frog transformation take place. For children three years of age and older.....enjoy!

Can't Judge a Book by it's Cover

I must say I've been seeing the Rogue Hypnotist eBooks advertised on my kindle for a while. I confess I didn't like the cover artwork and I didn't like the title Rogue Hypnotist. Was I wrong. The Deprogramming Addiction caught my eye so I got it on kindle Unlimited for free. I listened to it on my kindle text to speech. Absolutely fantastic scripts and techniques to help with addiction. I highly recommend it to all hypnotists. What an education!

This might be the best book in the series

This book is set apart from the other ones in that it covers compulsions and addictions to a greater degree. This seems to be more advanced hypnotic work and i have not tried any of it yet, but the writing is solid and some of the advice is so down-to-earth that it sounds practical and workable. This might be the best book in the series, which is already very good if a little scattershot. Highly recommended.

Nifty E-z Guide... Echolink

Most of the published (web or otherwise) information (documentation, etc.) about accessing and using Echolink is accurate, but quite technical, and seems to overlook the practical needs, knowledge gaps, and abilities of newbies (like me). Lafreniere anticipates these basic questions (and more) and answers them, and does so very clearly. Whether one uses SignaLink, Rigblaster, or some comparable produce, there's lots of good, easy to follow, information and instruction.

One major criticism of this guide is the lack of an index, which I consider to be essential for a book on a topic like this. Another criticism is that there seems to be too much emphasis on using EchoLink with Windows XP, and Vista, and comparatively little focusing on Windows 7, which ships with the majority of new PCs.

The short, rhymed text, replete with exclamation points, pounds away like a rapid heartbeat--``Boosters blast!/Moving fast./Engines roaring./Rocket soaring''-- while the young traveler, resembling the Michelin Man in his huge, orange spacesuit, tumbles about in free fall, watches the earth rise from the lunar surface, then waves at the crowds celebrating his return before bounding back into his parents' arms, and to bed. Wonderful big book. The story is simple and great, used it for Toddler Storytime and the kids loved it.

Perfect for 3-5 year olds

I used this book for my 3-5 year old preschoolers. They absolutely loved it. Their favorite part was the "moon rocks in a box" so me made our own moon rocks by wadding up foil and rolling it in paint and then glitter mixed with sand. All of the kids wanted to read the book or play with the rocks when it was time to choose centers at choice time.
